Kane Must Apologize To Spurs, Says Ex-Aston Villa Forward

Former Aston Villa forward Gabriel Agbonlahor has insisted that Harry Kane needs to take responsibility for his transfer issue and apologize to Tottenham Hotspur.

The England international is pushing for a move away from North London in search for a club which can match his ambition of winning trophies.

The Etihad Stadium is said to be his potential destination when he leaves the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Kane reported late to Spurs’ training ground in an attempt to leave the club this summer, but he later released a statement quashing those claims that he went AWOL.

The 28-year-old was left out of the squad to face Manchester City in the opening week of the Premier League season and is not involved in Spurs’ trip to Portugal ahead of a Europa Conference League play-off match against Pacos de Ferreira on Thursday.

“Nobody forced Harry Kane to sign a six-year contract at 25-years of age. That’s basically committing your best years to the club,” Agbonlahor told talkSPORT about Kane.

“To not win the trophies he wants to win, he can’t just jump ship and force a move to a club where he will win trophies.

“The three finals he’s played in, he hasn’t shown up. If I’m Nuno, Levy or the Spurs players, I’m expecting a big apology from Kane.

“I’m expecting him to get fit, come back and win trophies with Spurs.”
